Overview
What Numative does, how the pieces fit together, and the fastest path to your first data.
Numative is website analytics with change attribution. Alongside the usual traffic metrics it keeps a timeline of your site itself: when each page went live, what changed on it and when, which backlinks appeared, when Google shipped an update, and where referral spikes came from. Traffic movements show up next to their likely causes.
Two ways to get data in
Standalone tracker. A cookieless script, about 5 KB over the wire, that you add to your site. It counts pageviews and visitors without cookies or persistent identifiers, and it also captures clicks, form submissions, page speed and JavaScript errors on its own, none of which count against your pageview allowance. Custom events, revenue, funnels, goals, paths and behavior flow build on top.
<script defer src="https://app.numative.com/numative.js" data-site="YOUR_SITE_ID"></script>GA4 wrapper. Connect a Google Analytics 4 property read-only and Numative builds the same dashboard from your existing data. No script changes on your site. Features that need event-level data (funnels, paths, behavior flow, goals, custom properties, imports) are available on tracker sites only; everything else, including change detection and the SEO tools, works in both modes.
Quickstart
1. Create an account and add your first site. Every new account starts a 14-day trial of the full product, no card required.
2. Install the snippet (or the WordPress plugin), or connect GA4 from the site's Settings page. Data appears within minutes.
3. Optionally connect Search Console to see the queries you rank for beside your traffic. Backlink scans, Core Web Vitals and change detection start on their own, with nothing to configure.

Install the snippet
Add the cookieless tracking script to any site: attributes, SPA support, outbound links, custom events and troubleshooting.
WordPress plugin
Install Numative Analytics for WordPress: snippet injection, the wp-admin dashboard, AI crawler capture and instant publish pings.
Count blocked visitors
Serve the tracker from your own domain so ad blockers stop hiding part of your traffic: a custom tracking domain, a reverse proxy, or the WordPress plugin's built-in proxy.
Connect Google Analytics
Use Numative as a GA4 wrapper: connect a property read-only and get the same dashboard over your existing data.
Connect Search Console
Pull search queries, clicks, impressions and positions into Numative and join them with your detected content changes.
Reading the dashboard
What every number on the Overview means, how the date range and comparison work, and how to read the flags on the traffic chart.
Pages
Every page Numative tracks, when it went live, how it is performing now, and the 404s and site searches your visitors hit along the way.
Flow
See how visitors move through your site: the session flow from any entry page, and every path into and out of a page you focus on.
Journeys
Replay a single visitor's day as a timeline: the pages they read, what they clicked, the events they fired and any errors they hit.
Speed
Core Web Vitals measured in your visitors' own browsers, per page, per country and per device, with the elements and scripts holding them back.
Filters & segments
Slice any view by page, source, location, device, event or custom property, and save filter sets as segments for your whole team.
Custom events, goals & revenue
Track signups, purchases and any custom event with properties and revenue, then build goals and funnels on top.
Goals
Turn any custom event or pageview into a tracked conversion, with unique converters, conversion rate and revenue, sliceable by any filter.
Funnels
Chain pages and events into an ordered flow and see exactly where visitors drop off between each step.
Custom properties
Break your events down by any property you send (plan, method, variant), with visitors, events and revenue per value.
Click autocapture
Every click and form submission captured automatically with the element it landed on: the Clicks view, dead-click detection, journey timelines and privacy rules.
Enhanced measurements
The extra facts your site can hand the tracker with no event code: 404s, site searches, authors and categories, logged-in status, ecommerce revenue, chosen query parameters and affiliate links.
Error tracking
Uncaught JavaScript errors and unhandled rejections, grouped by bug: stack traces, affected browsers and pages, and errors in journey timelines.
Bots & AI crawlers
See which AI crawlers read your site: automatic bot classification, the server-side feed for non-JS crawlers, and IP verification.
Import & export
Bring history from Plausible, Fathom or GA4 exports, import event CSVs, and export everything back out.
Change detection
How Numative records every page change: the snippet fingerprint, instant pings, crawling, sitemap polling and chart markers.
Anomalies
Every page that moved against the period before it, ranked by impact and paired with the detected changes that might explain it.
Annotations
Mark deploys, campaigns, email sends and content pushes on your charts, from the dashboard or the API.
Site health
Uptime monitoring built into analytics: outages, degraded sites and silent collectors detected within minutes, flagged on the chart and named as the cause of the drop.
Alerts & email reports
Weekly and monthly email summaries, spike and drop alerts, notable backlink alerts, and webhook delivery to Slack or Discord.
SEO tools
Search Console rankings, backlinks with Domain Rating, Core Web Vitals, content decay and Google algorithm update markers.
Team & organizations
Invite teammates to your organization, assign owner, admin or member roles, and manage pending invitations.
Plans & billing
The 14-day trial, what each plan includes, and how the pageview quota and grace period work.
API & MCP
Read every report and change every setting programmatically: API keys, authentication, rate limits, every /api/v1 endpoint, and the MCP server for AI agents.
Public dashboards
Share a read-only dashboard with a private link, optionally password protected, or make it fully public at a clean URL with your domain.
Site settings
Every site-level option: reporting timezone, exclusions, captured query parameters, affiliate paths, bot traffic, appearance and deleting a site.
Privacy & data
Exactly what the tracker collects, how cookieless visitor counting works, how long data is kept, and how visitors can opt out.
